Had the best time on Rylan / Scott Mills show on BBC Radio 2 this week. I got to chat about my Gladiators song and play Rylan a track I made for him. He liked it so much he played it again on his Saturday show! Thanks Radio 2 and thanks Rylan.

LONDON MARATHON UPDATE…
The bad news – unfortunately after an MRI scan, I have been told that I have a stress fracture on my foot, which means no more training and no London Marathon 2024 for me.
The good news – the charity I am running for (World Cancer Research Fund) have been brilliantly supportive and have moved my place to next year’s marathon.
It’s a real shame and obviously I am very disappointed but there’s nothing I can do but get better and hope that I can get myself in even better shape for 2025.
Thank you to everyone who has donated and supported me so far, all the money raised will go to the same charity, but all being well I will now be running next year – I’m trying to tell myself it’s just a date change!
So, the plan is to recover, get stronger, and go again!

THE LONDON MARATHON

That’s right folks, I will be on the start line in London on April 21st 2024.
I am running the 26.2 miles to raise money for The World Cancer Research Fund because I want to support cancer prevention.
Like most people, I have lost friends and family to cancer.

Very happy to tell you that Mark and I have finished the first season of our podcast ‘The Blue Coat Diaries’.

It’s been a wonderful experience to create this podcast with Mark. When we started this we were pretty much strangers and now we are firm friends.
It feels like we have built something totally fresh and we’ve started to get some amazing guests on the show in the form of comedians Luisa Omielan and Lost Voice Guy, footballer Tom Barkhuizen and rockstar Frank Turner.

I left my Dad's coat at a gig and a lovely guy called Mark found it.
Then, whilst trying to arrange a chance to meet up (via WhatsApp) we had a lot of laughs.
So, when we finally got together, we decided to record it and because that went well we have started a podcast.
The first episode will come out on Friday 3rd Feb, and then each Friday after that.
This is all new to me, but something I have wanted to try for a long time. I'd love it if you could come on this journey with us, I think it's going to be really good fun

NEW LIVE ALBUM ‘JA2K’ OUT NOW
So… here we go then!
On Oct 5th I played my 2000th show and we recorded the audio of the whole thing for a new live album. Meet ‘JA2K’ the live recording of that show.
There are two versions available - a digital version which will be sent out to you (as MP3s) after you have ordered and a CD version which I will sign and post out to you.

LIFE’S A BEACH
Having a private party? do let me know. I’ve just been out to Bodrum in Turkey for one hell of a bash…
The client arranged an incredible event for her guests…on the beach! and after dinner we laughed, sang, danced (and rapped!) as the sun went down - it really was paradise.
I had a great time and really enjoyed writing a song for them, it was all about the guests at the event and it created a lot of laughter.
It was a really fun trip and a fantastic show, big thanks to all involved.

GAMES AID AT THE COMEDY STORE
Had a fab time at The Comedy Store in London this week. I was on an incredible bill to help raise money for the Games Aid Charity.
Their mission is to harness the talents and energy of the games industry and raise money for great causes.

JASON MANFORD THE O2 MANCHESTER
I’ll start with a couple of thank yous, first to Jason Manford for giving me this very special opportunity to support him at his hometown tour date - it was a wonderful night. And second to the audience, all two thousand five hundred of them for making me feel so welcome and being so up for it.
After the huge gap from gigs that we comedians had because of Covid, to walk on and be the support act for Jason at the O2 Manchester was like a dream…a very good dream.
Jason went on first and did about twenty mins, warming up the crowd and getting the BIG laughs going, he then introduced me which was so helpful. I played a 15 minute set which ended with the song I do about mobile phones - have a look at the photo next to this, everyone totally came onboard and got behind me, it was magic!

DEBUT UK TOUR DONE!
I am pleased to tell you that my first solo tour is complete.
Originally, we had planned to do the tour in the Spring of 2020, but thanks to Covid it has taken almost 2 years to get through the dates.
A gigantic thank you to everyone who bought a ticket and came along to one of the shows, I am very grateful to each and every one of you.
Also big thanks to my agent Gag Reflex for making the whole thing happen and a special thank you to Lost Voice Guy and Tape Face for taking me on their tours as a support act - I couldn’t have done my tour without that exposure and I will never forget it.

COMEDY SONG FOR BBC RADIO DERBY!
You may or may not know that I was born and raised in Derby. So when BBC Radio Derby asked me to come up with a comedy song to help them celebrate the station turning 50, I was honoured. It was wonderful to chat to presenter Ian Skye and hear the song live on air.
